Alphera Financial Services is the multi-brand motor finance division of BMW Group Financial Services UK. While BMW Financial Services (BMWFS) exclusively finances BMW and MINI vehicles, Alphera Finance provides PCP and HP agreements for a wide range of other brands — including Jaguar, Land Rover, Honda, Nissan, Renault, and many others — through franchise and independent dealerships across the UK.
Because Alphera operates through dealerships across many brands, customers may not immediately recognise it as their finance provider. Your agreement documents would reference "Alphera Financial Services" — a name often unfamiliar to customers who had no direct dealings with BMW Group.
BMW Group Financial Services UK has provisioned £207 million across both BMW Financial Services and Alphera Finance to cover expected PCP mis-selling redress arising from discretionary commission arrangements between April 2007 and November 2021. If your Alphera agreement carried a dealer-set interest rate, you may be owed compensation.
