MotorRedress is a motor finance claims service operated by Milberg London LLP, a law firm authorised and regulated by the SRA. Unlike many CMCs, we are a regulated law firm that can pursue your claim through every stage, including court proceedings.
2. Description of Our Service
We will act on your behalf to investigate whether you have a claim relating to mis-sold motor finance, including hidden or undisclosed commission arrangements (including DCAs), excessive commission, and/or contractually tied arrangements in connection with PCP, HP or Conditional Sale agreements entered into between 6 April 2007 and 1 November 2024.
Steps we will take on your behalf:
- Credit search — AX-ai Ltd will conduct a soft credit search (no impact on credit score)
- Agreement review — We will review your finance agreement and assess the merits
- Formal complaint — Submitted to your lender within 14 days of receiving your documents
- Commission disclosure — We will request full disclosure of all commission arrangements
- Subject Access Request — Where necessary, under Article 15 UK GDPR
- Negotiation — We will negotiate a fair settlement on your behalf
- Escalation to FOS — If the lender rejects or offers inadequate redress
- Court proceedings — If necessary
- Redress scheme participation — Advise you on the FCA scheme if introduced
- Settlement distribution — Receive, deduct fees, and remit the balance to you
3. Free Alternatives — You Do Not Need to Use Our Services
- Complain directly to your lender — They must respond within 8 weeks (or by 31 May 2026 per PS25/18)

If you choose to pursue your claim yourself or wait for the FCA scheme, you keep 100% of any compensation received.
4. Our Fees
Our fee arrangement is a Damages Based Agreement (DBA) — commonly known as No Win, No Fee.

5. Your Right to Cancel
You have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date you sign the agreement. To cancel:

6. Termination After the Cooling-Off Period
After 14 days, you may still terminate by giving written notice. Any termination fee will be reasonable and proportionate, itemised in writing, and compliant with FCA/SRA expectations. No fee will be charged if your claim has poor prospects.
7. Progress Updates
We will update you at each significant milestone and at least every 8 weeks. You may contact us at any time. You will always have the final decision on whether to accept a settlement offer.
8. Multiple Representation Check
In accordance with the FCA/SRA Joint Warning of February 2026, you will be asked to confirm whether you have any other representative acting for you on the same claim.
9. How We Handle Your Data
We process your personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and DPA 2018. A full Privacy Notice is provided separately. AX-ai Ltd will conduct a soft credit search that will not affect your credit score.
